PIN GRADING POLICY
Enamel pins are handmade, so they're never going to be completely perfect. There will certain flaws from dipping and manufacturing that cannot be avoided. Because of this, we'll be using a grading system for our pins. The pins will be divided into TWO grades; FIRSTS and SECONDS.
Flaws will differ between each pin and will be chosen at random. When you purchase a pin, you agree to accept the item AS IS according to the above grading system.
Actual product colours may vary from colours shown on your monitor.
I will not be replacing pins for a single glitter, tiny scratch or dent.
The pins are graded at least a feet away from eyes. They are meant to be worn and enjoyed. If you are looking for perfection, I may not be able to accommodate you. Please look elsewhere.
FIRSTS
- includes minor flaws to the pins that will not distract the overall look of the pin itself. This includes:
- imperfections on the back of the pins
- light or very small nicks on the enamel/metal
- bubbling from the enamel pouring
- slight under or over filling of the enamel
- slight uneven glitter distribution
- tiny air bubbles
- sightly off-set screen printed areas
- some light imperfections/superficial scratches in the metal plating (especially on large metal areas)
- small dent on enamel/metal
- some minor and not noticeable dust on enamel
- tiny missing enamel on very small area (in small cracks etc)
SECONDS
- includes slightly more obvious flaws to the pins but will still be wearable. This includes:
- dust particles in the enamel
- gouges/marks on enamel
- off colour/glitter spots
- uneven glitter distribution
- moderately scuffed enamel/metal
- multiple areas of underfilled enamel
- multiple points of imperfections on the metal plating
- multiple air bubbles in the enamel
- missing enamel
- off-set screen printed areas
- overfilled enamel that floods some metal lines
